Over three thousand Ukrainian sailors received identity cards in Warsaw

The Head of the Shipping Administration, Serhiy Gurskyi, made a working visit to the representative office of Morrichservice in Warsaw.
This was reported by the Shipping Administration.
In Warsaw, Ukrainian seafarers who are abroad can receive two key services: issue a seafarer’s identity card and pass a qualification exam for command personnel (CES-test).
As of today, 9,868 qualification exams have been held in Warsaw, of which 88% (8,714) were successfully passed.
The service for issuing a seafarer’s identity card has been available in Warsaw for almost a year. During this time, 3,160 seafarers have received it, and another 3,964 have already registered to submit documents for issuing or exchanging a certificate.
During the visit, Serhiy Gursky got acquainted with the work of the representative office and the terms of service provision, talked with the management, the Warsaw team of Morrichservice and Ukrainian seafarers. Special attention was paid to going through the full “client journey” in order to assess the quality of the service and identify opportunities for its further improvement.
To solve the problem of the limited number of available records, the Shipping Administration is already implementing a set of measures:
• increasing the capacity of document processing by authorized employees of the Shipping Administration, who make decisions on the issuance and exchange of seafarer identity cards;
• increasing the number of Morrichservice administrators in Warsaw, which allows receiving more visitors daily.
Thanks to this, the number of available records has been increased since July 13. Additional places for seafarers who are outside Ukraine have appeared in the Morrichservice registration schedules.
Earlier, USM reported that the Cabinet of Ministers had appointed a new head of the Shipping Administration.
