Photo of the day: famous Ukrainian ships take part in the Sea Breeze exercises

The Sea Breeze 2024 international naval exercise is underway in Scottish waters near Glasgow.
The crews of minesweepers “Chernihiv” and “Cherkasy” together with the NATO ship group perform maneuvers in the sea. The corresponding photos were published in the press service of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Currently, mine countermeasures ships are practicing joint actions before starting to perform joint tasks.
Teams perform maneuvering techniques, in particular in difficult navigation conditions, establish interaction, and check compatibility.
Also, Ukrainian military sailors are practicing measures to reduce reaction time and decision-making.
An important element of training was conducting practical shootings in the sea with the aim of destroying dangerous objects.
The purpose of such exercises is to test maneuvering and navigation skills, the ability to control the ship and interact with your crew. The active phase of the Sea Breeze 2024 exercise should begin soon.
The subject of this year’s exercises is the preparation and assessment of the mine countermeasures headquarters of the Navy of Ukrainian Armed Forces for the planning, management and conduct of mine countermeasures and operations.
This year, 13 countries participated in the exercises. Among them, in addition to Ukraine and the USA, which acted as organizers, Bulgaria, Sweden, Estonia, Germany, France, Georgia, Greece, Romania, Poland, Japan and Great Britain are participating as the host party.
