Polish carriers announced a protest at the border with Ukraine

Polish carriers are preparing a new protest on the road to the “Yagodyn-Dorohusk” checkpoint.

This was reported by the Committee for the Protection of Transport Carriers and Employers of Poland.

The protest is planned to be held on May 12.

“We expect that the case will go to court,” said the representative of the committee, Rafal Mekler.

According to him, Ukrainian carriers are “crowding out” Polish companies from the market with cheaper tariffs, in particular on routes between Poland and the EU, as well as within the European Union.

He also accused the Ukrainian side of delays in Polish trucks on Ukrainian territory through the eQueue system.

In particular, Rafal Mekler noted that the action is aimed at protecting jobs and Polish companies in difficult economic conditions.

In turn, Polish carriers claim that they are losing their jobs because Ukrainian companies can offer lower prices by not paying taxes and fees that are mandatory for Polish companies.

We will remind you that last spring, as a result of protests and traffic blockages, there were a total of over 600 trucks in queues in Poland.
