Russia is accused of inciting the energy crisis
Moldova will sue the russian concern Gazprom for provoking the energy crisis.
“Gazprom is to blame for the fact that we are forced to purchase gas and electricity on the international market. We are preparing to sue the concern for breach of contract. We will also demand compensation for losses, because because of them we are forced to redirect funds and take loans. We signed the contract and counted on it. “Gazprom” simply ignores its obligations and should be responsible for it,” said the Minister of Infrastructure of Moldova Andrey Spinu.
“Gazprom has become an unreliable partner. In recent years, the Russians have shown that they are capable of anything. They shut off gas to Bulgaria, Italy, Germany, Ukraine, and cut off Poland and Finland. But they cannot demand from us to pay for gas for Transnistria. No one in Chisinau will ever agree to this. We have a contract and we have paid everything,” added the minister.
Regarding putin’s dissatisfaction with the fact that Moldova keeps part of the gas purchased in Ukraine, Spinu emphasized that this is Moldova’s sovereign right. “We can store the purchased gas anywhere. Putin will not tell us,” the government official commented.
