Ship carrying stolen grain returns to Black Sea after being rejected by two countries

A bulk carrier with stolen Ukrainian grain that was not accepted in the ports of Israel and Turkey appears to be returning to Russia.

The bulk carrier PANORMITIS (IMO: 9445021) has entered the Dardanelles, reported Kateryna Yaresko, a journalist for the SeaKrime project of the Myrotvorets Center.

Previously, the ship was heading back to the Russian Federation, where it could unload a batch of grain in the ports of Kavkaz or Novorossiysk.

Back on April 25, 2026, PANORMITIS was heading to the Israeli Haifa with grain exported from occupied Berdyansk. However, the Israeli agrotrader refused to accept this cargo.

After that, the bulk carrier tried to unload in Iskenderun, Turkey, but this attempt was also unsuccessful.

The ship’s return to the Black Sea may indicate an intention to re-sell the compromised grain batch through another port or another buyer.
