Concession

The Ukrainian government is developing a concession project for the ports of Izmail, Odesa and Chornomorsk.

Seaport “Chornomorsk” was visited by representatives of the world leader in container transportation “A.P. Moller – Maersk A/S”.

Port terminals in the port of Chornomorsk are being prepared for transfer to the concession.

Despite the war, the public-private partnership in ports has not been put on hold — work continues on the preparation of concession projects in Odesa and Izmail ports.

The Verkhovna Rada (Parliament of Ukraine) promoted the draft law No. 5090, which regulates the procedure for financing expenses in favor of the concessionaire in the second reading.

The standard working situation has turned into a real detective in the Kherson seaport. The agency of the merchant fleet and the work of a private operator in the port became under the risk.

The Cabinet of Ministers has changed the procedure for attracting advisers to prepare concession projects.

On the eve of the concession, the port of Chornomorsk was visited by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to Ukraine Davlatali Nazrezoda.

In 2022, the Ministry of Infrastructure plans to transfer four Ukrainian ports to a concession.

Yesterday, on December 23rd, the parties signed an agreement on the transfer of property to the State Enterprise “Kherson Commercial Sea Port”.
