An employee of the Odesa customs let through the goods from China in the port for UAH 7 million (USD 260.8 thousand) without paying a duty.

Drugs, cigarettes and many other goods are smuggled, most often, to the countries of the European Union. And Ukraine, being at the intersection of several international transit routes, is becoming a real paradise for smugglers.

On June 6th, law enforcement officers detained a truck in the port of Chornomorsk with the smuggling of tobacco products – sticks for alternative smoking products.
