The companies of the Russian oligarch participated in the reconstruction of the Dnipro-Buzkyi port
The SBI reminded that the nationalization of the “Mykolaiv Alumina Plant” and “Glukhiv Quartzite Quarry” of the Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska brought Ukraine 10 billion UAH.
In addition, structures under the control of Oleg Derepaska also participated in the expansion and reconstruction of the Dnipro-Bug seaport. Land plots and real estate in various regions of Ukraine, hundreds of units of special and cargo equipment were returned to the state’s income, the department recalled.
“According to the materials of the SBI, the Ministry of Justice initiated the review by the High Anti-Corruption Court of a number of decisions on the application of sanctions to commercial structures and their owners. The state budget received assets worth billions of hryvnias of several Russian oligarchs close to the Kremlin,” the SBI noted.
Earlier, USM reported that the State Property Fund plans to privatize the Mykolaiv Alumina Plant owned by Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska’s Rusal company by the end of the year.
Legally, the plant has not yet reached the management of FDM. But the Fund plans to quickly put the asset up for auction as soon as it gets it under management.
It takes 60-90 days to prepare the object for privatization. Therefore, it is quite possible to start the privatization of the plant in the second or third quarter of the current year.
By February 24, 2022, the Mykolaiv Alumina Plant was valued at $1 billion. State Property Fund puts the assets up for privatization at book value, and then the market already determines the final price. It is currently difficult to determine the book value of the plant. For this, it is necessary to study what is left of the resources, debts, to analyze the accounting and financial statements of the plant. The facility is currently down, so State Property Fund will look for ways to restart it.
