The construction of the second Ada corvette for Ukraine continues in Turkey

For the construction of the second Ukrainian corvette of the Ada class, metal was cut in Turkey.

It is currently unknown when exactly the metal cutting ceremony for the construction of the hull of the future warship took place. Usually, after steel is cut, the formation of separate sections of the vessel begins, which are then combined into a hull, Militarny reports with reference to the Turkish publication Defense Turk.

It was also noted on the Turkish website that the ship was changed at the request of the Ukrainian Navy.

“Among these changes is the power plant and vertical launchers of MICA VL anti-aircraft missiles, which are located in the aft part of the ship,” the message emphasized.

More details about the capabilities of new warships of this class, which are being built for the Navy of Ukraine at Defense Turk, are not reported.

We will remind that on October 2, 2022, the first Ada-class corvette, which is being built for the Ukrainian fleet, was launched in Turkey.
