The cutter TCSG 303 of the Turkish Coast Guard entered the Prakticheskaya Harbor of the Odesa seaport with an unofficial friendly visit.

The ship arrived on Tuesday, September 14th. An unofficial friendly visit will last until September 16th. The press service of the State Border Service of Ukraine notes that such meetings contribute to the strengthening of international friendly relations.

The visit of the Turkish cutter is a response to the visit of the flagship of the Maritime Guard of the State Border Service of Ukraine “Grigory Kuropyatnikov” to Turkey, who visited Istanbul in August.

TCSG 303 is used by Turkish coastguards to escort vessels and warships. The cutter is 35 meters long, 6 meters wide, and has a maximum speed of 42 knots.

As USM reported earlier, a solemn ceremony of laying the keel of a corvette-class ship for the Ukrainian Navy took place in Turkey.

The corvette was laid down at a shipyard in Istanbul. The construction of the ADA-class corvette has been going on since April 28th, 2021, but according to Turkish traditions, only after the construction of part of the sections and the hull, a solemn ceremony of laying the keel of the ship is carried out.
