The export of Ukrainian grain exceeds last year’s figures by 1.5 million tons
Since the beginning of the marketing season, Ukraine has exported 49.7 million tons of grain and leguminous crops.
According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, 2.8 million tons of 49.7 million tons have been shipped since the beginning of June.
In addition, this is more than last year’s indicators – as of June 26, 2023, the export of Ukrainian grain amounted to 48.4 million tons.
In terms of crops, the following have been exported since the beginning of the current season:
• wheat – 18.236 million tons (in 2022/23 MY – 16.625 million tons);
• barley – 2.465 million tons (2.68 million tons);
• rye – 1.6 thousand tons (18 thousand tons);
• corn – 28.518 million tons (28.793 million tons).
The total export of Ukrainian flour since the beginning of the season as of June 24 is estimated at 97,000 tons (in 2022/23 MY – 151,000 tons), including wheat – 91.6 thousand tons (144.5 thousand tons).
Earlier, USM reported that quotations of export wheat on the Chicago Stock Exchange continued to fall under the pressure of the harvesting campaign, which is advancing in the northern hemisphere.
