The Kilia plant has repaired 36 Ukrainian Danube Shipping vessels since the beginning of the year


In January-September, Kilia Ship-repair yard repaired 36 vessels of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company.

According to the results of 9 months, the Ukrainian Danube Shipping invested more than UAH 75 million in ship repair, in the third quarter — more than UAH 45 million, which is twice as much as a year ago, said Acting Director. Dmytro Moskalenko, General Director of UDP.

Recently, the motor ship “Mechanic Yan” left the slip. The plant repaired the propeller complex, cleaned and painted the hull with its inspection by specialists of the Shipping Register. Currently, the steamship has returned to Izmail, where the main engines are being repaired, with further submission to the Register class.

Also, in September, barges C-414, C-417, C-433, C-436, SLG-015 came out of repair.

Currently, the tugboats “Lviv”, “Zvenigorod”, the self-propelled dry cargo ship “Dmytry Kalinin”, as well as the barges DS-1847, DS-1626 and S-424 are undergoing scheduled repairs at the plant’s facilities, which are scheduled to be completed by the end of the month.

In November, repair work is planned to be completed on the motor ship “Captain Glushko” and barges SL-06 and DS-1804.

By the end of the year, it is planned to modernize the main engines on four self-propelled dry cargo ships at the factory facilities.
