The Maritime Search and Rescue Service wants to buy a boat for UAH 165 million


The Maritime Search and Rescue Service plans to acquire a high-speed search and rescue vessel.

The cost of the order is UAH 165 million (USD 6.2 million). The delivery time for the vessel is June 30th, 2023, Suspilne reports with reference to the Prozorro public procurement system.

Applications are accepted till November 8th. Bidding will begin on December 14th.

Requirements for technical characteristics: length – 25-28 m; speed in still water – at least 30 knots, with a wave height of 2.5 m – at least 20 knots; autonomy – 5 days. The cruising range is not less than 700 nautical miles at a speed of 18 knots, with a fuel reserve of 10%. The vessel must hold 150 liters of fresh water per person. Crew – 5-6 people.

In addition, the vessel must cross thin, fractured ice (50 mm) at reduced speed, and solid ice (25 mm) at a maximum speed of 5 knots. A rescue water scooter must also be included with the vessel.
