The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported an attempted attack on a ship of the Black Sea Fleet

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation says that the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to attack two ships of the Black Sea Fleet with unmanned boats.

The ships were allegedly located 340 km from Sevastopol. In particular, three unmanned boats tried to attack the patrol ships “Serhiy Kotov” and “Vasyl Bykov”.

“During the repulse of the attack, all three unmanned enemy boats were destroyed by fire from the regular weapons of Russian ships,” the Russian government said.

Also, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation assures that the ships “Sergiy Kotov” and “Vasyl Bykov” of the Black Sea Fleet still continue to perform their tasks. The agency noted that “Serhiy Kotov” performs “tasks related to shipping control”.

The Ukrainian authorities and the Armed Forces have not yet commented on the Russians’ statement.
