The Netherlands will allocate 17.5 million euros for the production of maritime drones in Ukraine
The Netherlands will allocate 60 million euros to Ukraine for the purchase of unmanned aerial vehicles for various purposes.
In particular, the Netherlands will provide 17.5 million euros for the purchase of maritime drones, the Dutch Ministry of Defense announced.
The agency noted that Ukrainian naval drones are successfully operating in the Black Sea. Ukraine can produce this type of UAV, so the Netherlands will also stimulate local business with this financial contribution.
“These high-tech innovations are also important for the Netherlands. For joint industry cooperation and as lessons for our own armed forces,” commented the Minister of Defense of the Netherlands, Kaisa Ollongren.
Previously, USM reported that Ukrainian media representatives announced a fundraiser for Magura V5 marine drones for the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
In general, thanks to the Magura V5 drones, more than 200 million dollars worth of Russian ships have already been destroyed, and the estimated damage caused to the aggressor state is more than half a billion dollars.
