The Chornomorsk seaport attracts cargo from Turkey


The authority of the CSP “Chornomorsk” invited Turkish businessmen to cooperate with the port.

“SE “CSP “Chornomorsk” has always been the gateway to the Ukrainian-Turkish business, therefore the opening of the TUID office in the south of Ukraine is the best platform for meeting with direct importers and exporters of Turkish and Ukrainian business, for discussing promising business projects and cooperation,” said the press-service of the enterprise.

In addition to the already existing volumes and range of cargoes, cooperation with Turkish manufacturers and suppliers can be expanded in the next marketing year, says Olexandr Popov, Head of the Chornomorsk CSP.

“Today we discussed such opportunities, and I invited the President of the TUID Union Burak Pehlivan and the Head of the southern office Ayhan Akbabu (formerly director of the Arkas container line) to visit our enterprise, to get acquainted with its capabilities and potential, especially in the field of container transportation,” added Popov.

The meeting of the management of the state stevedore and Turkish representatives took place on September 24th, during the opening of a new office of TUID (Turkish-Ukrainian Business Association) in Odesa. The opening was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Ukraine Yagmur Ahmet Guldere, Head of the Southern Representative Office of TUID Ayhan Akbaba, President of the TUID Union Burak Pehlivan, Turkish and Ukrainian businessmen, government officials.
