The ship delivered a new batch of grain to Sudan as part of Grain from Ukraine
Last week, another batch of Ukrainian aid was delivered to Sudan.
This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the social network Х.
According to him, the grain was delivered as part of the Grain from Ukraine initiative and with the support of the UN World Food Program.
“This will make it possible to provide assistance to two million people who face acute hunger and food insecurity every month. Ukraine continues to support the Sudanese people, even as it defends itself against Russian aggression at home. This is our guiding principle: we are not only looking for help from the world, but also helping others in the world,” said the head of state.
The President also added that the Grain from Ukraine initiative will continue to deliver new shipments to more countries to alleviate the food crisis and help those in need.
We will remind, at the end of March, the vessel MV Future ID arrived in Sudan with 14.6 thousand tons of Ukrainian flour. This was the second batch of humanitarian cargo within the Grain from Ukraine initiative.
The first batch of humanitarian aid was delivered to the port of Khartoum (Sudan) on February 22. The vessel MV “Ocean Dream” brought 7,665 tons of Ukrainian wheat flour.
