The Ukrainian agricultural sector will receive 25 million euros from the EBRD
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), with the assistance of the Dutch government, will provide 25 million euros to support the agricultural sector of Ukraine.
“The Netherlands, a founding member of the EBRD and an important donor to the Bank’s activities in Ukraine, provides a financial guarantee of 25 million euros to support private companies working in important sectors related to agriculture,” the EBRD said in a statement.
The guarantee agreement was signed on Tuesday, January 24, in London by Robin Uyterlinde, Deputy Director of the Department of External Financial Relations of the Ministry of Finance of the Netherlands, and Ines Rocha, Managing Director of the EBRD.
The bank emphasized that Ukraine is a large agricultural economy that supplies products all over the world. Strengthening food security during the war – both at the local and international levels – is a key element of the Bank’s plan to support the real economy of Ukraine.
