The wreckage of the Russian UAV was found in the Danube Delta in Romania

Fragments of a Russian drone were found in the area of the Danube Delta. They were removed for expert analysis.

This was reported on the official website of the Ministry of Defense of Romania.

We are talking about the drones that Russia used during the attack on Ukrainian infrastructure near the Romanian border on the night of September 7. The wreckage was found near the town of Periprava, Tulcea County.

The border regions of Romania in the Danube Delta have been the site of falling fragments of Russian unmanned aerial vehicles before. According to the Romanian authorities, these were drones used for attacks on Ukraine, and Romania itself was not their target.

“Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, fragments of Russian drones and missiles have been repeatedly found on the territory of allies. While we have no information to suggest that Russia has deliberately attacked allies, these actions are irresponsible and potentially dangerous. In response to Russia’s war, NATO has significantly increased its presence on its eastern flank, including in Romania and Latvia,” said NATO spokeswoman Fara Dahlalla in an interview with PAP.

It should be noted that Bucharest also condemned the attacks on the Ukrainian port and civilian infrastructure.

As previously reported by USM, in August, wreckage of drones that attacked Ukrainian ports was found in Romania.
