UAE companies ready to invest in Ukrainian ports and grain transshipment


Companies from the United Arab Emirates are ready to invest in the development of Ukrainian ports and grain transshipment.

This was announced by the Minister of Agricultural Policy of Ukraine Vitalii Koval following the meeting of the ministry’s team with leading companies in the UAE.

In particular, Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates signed an Agreement on Comprehensive Economic Partnership, which provides for free trade between the countries and liberalization of access to commodity markets.

The Minister of Agricultural Policy, together with First Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, met with more than 20 leading companies. Among them were port operators, investment, agricultural and trading enterprises that are interested in import-export cooperation with Ukraine.

There are also companies that are ready to enter the Ukrainian market. In particular, to invest in the production of processed products, such as oilseeds, rapeseed, soybeans. As well as grain transshipment and the development of port infrastructure.

Ukraine is already actively working with the UAE. In 2024, Ukraine exported agricultural products worth over $197 million. Among the most popular goods were: fats and oils of animal or vegetable origin, meat and edible by-products, cereals, vinegar, etc. USM previously reported that Saudi Arabia is considering investing in Ukrainian ports.
