Ukrainian ports have fulfilled the cargo handling plan by 98%

Ukrainian seaports processed 21.1 million tons of cargo in the first quarter of 2026, despite attacks every five days.
This was reported by the Ministry for Development of Communites and Territories of Ukraine.
The largest cargo flow traditionally falls on grain – 11.6 million tons of cargo. In addition to grain, the transshipment of metal products also remains stable – 1.2 million tons in the first quarter of this year.
The container segment demonstrates the highest growth dynamics: over 63,000 TEU were processed in three months, which is 43.3% more than in the same period last year.
“Ukrainian seaports continue to operate in extremely difficult conditions. According to these results, thousands of people who ensure the operation of ports every day are under the threat of shelling. The largest cargo flow traditionally falls on grain. This once again confirms that Ukraine continues to ensure the world’s food security,” said Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine – Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba.
The Ministry of Development recalled that since the beginning of this year, 193 port infrastructure facilities and 25 civilian vessels have been damaged as a result of Russian attacks.
