Ukrainian sailors will be able to order seaman’s record book through Diya
In the coming months, it will be possible to order a seaman’s seagoing service record book on the “Diya” portal.
Over 10,000 sailors used the service in 5 months of operation. More than 11,300 qualification documents were prepared for them, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said in Telegram.
“The process of certifying sailors was one of the most complicated and corrupt in the country. The register of documents was controlled by third parties, and the organizers of the scheme earned up to $150 million a year. “Five months ago, services for seafarers were launched on the “Diya” portal and the field was completely rebooted,” the minister said.

According to him, other services for sailors are currently being developed. In the coming months, it will be possible to order a seaman’s record book with a convenient payment and delivery method on the “Diya” portal.
As previously reported by USM, in 2024 Ukraine plans to completely abandon paper applications for seafarers to confirm or upgrade their qualifications.
