Zelenskyy called on the graduates of the Odesa Maritime Academy to “protect the freedom of navigation”

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, noted that the graduates of the Odesa Maritime Academy should take part in the “battle for the sea”.

Zelenskyy also addressed the Navy of Ukraine and the Maritime Guard of the State Border Service. The President noted that Ukraine needs victory over the enemy at sea, as well as on land and in the sky.

“Thank you, that you will protect our state precisely in the maritime direction of defense – as part of the Naval Forces of Ukraine and the maritime guard of the State Border Service. Ukraine needs victory over the enemy at sea as well as on land and in the sky,” Zelenskyy said in a video message.

According to him, “russian ships have already studied the only perspective for them in Ukrainian waters. The russian Black Sea flagship has already demonstrated that it is waiting for any vessel that will threaten Ukraine, and it is only a matter of time before it repeats the course of “Moskva”.

“Our defense and security forces proved that Ukrainian Zmiinyi will not tolerate the enemy flag. And these are only three elements of the great battle for the sea, which continues to this day and in which you, our dear graduates of the Odesa Maritime Academy, must take part and win,” Zelenskyy said.
