Zelenskyy: the security of the world depends on the protection of the Black Sea

In an evening video message, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the security of the world depends on the proper protection of the Ukrainian coast and the sea.

“During the full-scale war, we proved it — we proved that when Ukraine, together with its partners, restores security to the Black Sea, the world receives more security for other regions as a dividend,” Zelenskyy noted.

The President also emphasized that this concerns both food security and social security, because the political stability of many countries in difficult regions in Africa and Asia depends on the stability of the food market.

“It is very important that, thanks to Ukrainian courage, it is possible to actually drive the Russian fleet out of the eastern part of the Black Sea,” the Head of State emphasized.

He added that thanks to this, the Russian Federation cannot use the Ukrainian sea to spread its aggression to other parts of the world, as was the case with Syria.

“The more protection our coasts, our seas have, the more protection the world has,” Zelenskyy concluded.
