The G7 countries will promote the export of Ukrainian products

The transport ministers of the G7 states (USA, Canada, Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Japan) adopted a joint declaration condemning Russia’s destruction of global supply chains.

In particular, this concerns attempts to undermine the navigation of civilian vessels in the Black Sea and damage to Ukrainian transport infrastructure, the Ministry of Reconstruction noted .

“The full-scale invasion of Russia posed logistical challenges not only to Ukraine, but also to the whole world. Disrupted supply chains, obstruction of navigation in the Black Sea, and artificial blocking of Ukrainian agricultural exports provoke aggravation of humanitarian problems in the world and cause food prices to rise,” said Oleksandr Kubrakov, Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure.

According to him, Ukraine’s global task is to oppose Russian aggression and support the development of global logistics. The minister also added that without working transport routes in Ukraine, the global logistics architecture will be at risk.

The G7 transport ministers also agreed to intensify international efforts to develop the EU’s “Paths of Solidarity” program. It provides financial support for development projects of alternative logistics routes for the export of Ukrainian food. It is about the development of the Danube port cluster, border infrastructure on the border with the EU and Moldova, etc.

In addition, the G7 Transport Ministers emphasized the importance of the stable work of the Grain Initiative and the development of sustainable transport links between Europe and Asia bypassing Russia. In particular, special attention will be paid to the development of the “Middle Corridor” (Middle Corridor) and the Central Trans-Caspian transport network (Central Trans-Caspian Network).
