The EU condemned the Russian terrorist attacks on Ukrainian ports

The EU statement emphasized that Russia and its leadership will be held fully responsible for waging an aggressive war against Ukraine.

A recent incident in which a Russian missile hit a Liberian-flagged civilian vessel resulted in civilian casualties. According to the UN, Russia has carried out more than 30 attacks on Ukrainian port facilities since its withdrawal from the Grain Initiative in July. But this attack was the first time a civilian vessel was killed and wounded.

Such cases are “a harsh reminder of Russia’s contempt for human life.” Russia is ready to use global food security and even commercial ties as a weapon to achieve the goals of an aggressive war against Ukraine. As “Ukrinform” reports, this is stated in the statement of the EU, made during the meeting of the Permanent Council of the OSCE in Vienna.

In the statement, the EU assured continued support for all efforts aimed at promoting exports from Ukraine. In particular, we are talking about the “paths of solidarity” program and the Grain from Ukraine initiative,

“We condemn Russia’s systematic attacks on Ukrainian Black Sea ports and civilian infrastructure and welcome Ukraine’s steps to strengthen alternative export routes free from Russian control,” the statement concluded.

The document emphasized that the Russian Federation and its leadership will be held fully responsible for waging an aggressive war against Ukraine.

It will be recalled that on November 8, the occupiers shelled the “Pivdennyi” port. The missile hit a bulk carrier under the flag of Liberia. The ship was supposed to transport ore to China. As a result of the attack, the Ukrainian pilot died and crew members were injured.
