A research vessel sank in the port of Novorossiysk (video)

The Russian scientific vessel “Ashamba” capsized and sank in the waters of the yacht club in the port of Novorossiysk.

The scientific research vessel Ashamba belongs to the Shirshov Institute of Oceanology.

According to Russian media, the vessel sank on February 22 in the waters of the 7 Feet yacht club in the port of Novorossiysk. The cause of what happened was icing and loss of stability of the vessel. The crew managed to leave the side in time, there were no injuries. There were 200 liters of diesel fuel on the Ashamba.
