Kernel and Oschadbank signed loan agreements for $77 million

Oschadbank has concluded a number of credit agreements totaling $77 million with enterprises that are part of the Kernel group of companies.

According to the bank, this is the largest volume of private business lending among Ukrainian banks in 2025, according to the Oschadbank press release.

Deputy Chairman of the Board of Oschadbank, responsible for corporate business, Yuriy Katsion, emphasized that the development of Ukraine’s export agricultural potential is an important aspect of strengthening the state’s economy.

Almost 50% of the lending volume can be directed to investment needs: these are non-renewable credit lines for $36.7 million for a period of seven years.

The funds can also be used to update the fleet of agricultural machinery and equipment to ensure uninterrupted processing of agricultural land. In addition, to finance and refinance capital expenditures related to the reconstruction of the Transbalkterminal grain terminal in Chornomorsk, damaged by a Russian missile attack in 2023.

During the term of the agreement, the borrower has the right to withdraw the entire amount of the credit limit in the amount of $77 million to replenish working capital, subject to a reduction in the limits provided for investment lending.

Working capital can be replenished by the group’s companies, in particular, for the purchase of grain, fertilizers, plant protection products, fuels and lubricants and other goods, works and services.

USM previously reported that Kernel’s revenue in the first quarter of the new fiscal year reached $826 million.
