Ports in India again accept Rosneft after the outbreak of war in the Middle East

India has returned to buying Russian oil after the outbreak of war in the Middle East.

Thus, ports in India are once again accepting ships of the “shadow fleet” with Russian Urals oil, Bloomberg reports.

Two tankers with Russian oil, which were heading to East Asia, have changed course to India. One of them, the Suezmax class Odune, has already arrived at the port of Paradip with a cargo of 730 thousand barrels of oil.

The second tanker, the Aframax class Matari, loaded with more than 700 thousand barrels of oil, will arrive on March 5 at the port of Vadinar.

Another tanker, the Suezmax class Indri, this week turned sharply north towards India, although it had previously indicated a course for Singapore. The vessel is carrying about 730 thousand barrels of Urals oil.

All three vessels are under sanctions by Ukraine, the UK and the EU.

USM previously reported that India allowed the Russians to insure tankers for another month.
