Nibulon scales up Danube river transport and opens Moldova route

Nibulon is increasing the volume of cargo transportation by river fleet on the Danube, expanding the international geography of the logistics business.
After entering the markets of the Middle and Upper Danube in 2025, Nibulon opened a new route involving Moldovan ports, the company reported.
The first operation was the implementation of a comprehensive logistics scheme: a voyage was made along the route Izmail (Ukraine) – Galati (Romania) with the transportation of 3,600 tons of metallurgical slag. After unloading, the vessel moved to the port of Giurgiuleşti (Moldova), where it was loaded with 5,000 tons of rapeseed with further transportation to Constanta (Romania). The total volume of transportation within the voyage amounted to more than 8,600 tons.
A bilateral logistics scheme has also been worked out: transportation of grain from Izmail to the ports of Bulgaria with subsequent reverse loading of mineral fertilizers in the ports of Serbia and transportation to the port of Giurgiuleşti (Moldova). This format allows minimizing empty voyages and increasing the efficiency of fleet use.
Its own river fleet allows the company to work with different types of cargo: agricultural products, fertilizers, slag, metal, and flexibly adapt routes to market needs.
In total, in 2025, Nibulon transported over 110,000 tons of cargo by river transport. The company continues to expand the geography of transportation on the Middle and Upper Danube and increase volumes.
Earlier, USM reported that Nibulon commented on the information about leaving Mykolaiv amid the conflict with local authorities.
