The US has extended the ban on vessels linked to Russia from entering its ports

Washington has extended the state of emergency that restricts the parking and movement of vessels associated with Russia in American ports.
The United States has extended the restrictions on vessels associated with Russia in its ports for another year. This is stated in a White House statement published in the Federal Register.
This is a state of emergency that was introduced on April 21, 2022 by then-US President Joe Biden. It was then that the Secretary of Homeland Security received the authority to regulate the parking and movement of vessels associated with Russia in US ports.
Now President Donald Trump has extended this regime for another year.
The White House emphasized that the policies and actions of the Russian government continue to create an emergency situation by disrupting or threatening to disrupt the international relations of the United States.
The United States also recently restored full sanctions against Russian offshore oil.
