Interpipe reoriented exports through a European port due to the blockade of Ukrainian ports

Interpipe has redirected part of its exports to North America and the Middle East through one of the European ports after the blockade of the seaports of the Odesa region.

This was reported by Oleksiy Yanovskyi, Deputy Operations Director of Interpipe for Procurement and Logistics.

According to him, most of the company’s clients are located in Europe, so deliveries there are mainly carried out by road transport on a just-in-time basis.

At the same time, the shutdown of Ukrainian seaports has complicated exports to more distant markets. For deliveries to North America and the Middle East, the company has redirected cargo to one of the European ports.

Yanovsky also noted that the cost of road logistics is currently being pressured by the shortage of fuel and the rise in its prices.
