Ukraine has proposed to Russia to stop attacks on civilian objects in the Black Sea, — media

Ukraine has passed on to Russia, through a third party, a proposal to mutually cease attacks on civilian targets in the Black Sea.

This was reported by Reuters, citing a source.

The proposal concerns the cessation of attacks on civilian infrastructure and shipping in the Black Sea amid increased attacks on grain tankers and port infrastructure.

At the same time, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko said that Moscow had not received an official proposal for a ceasefire.

According to him, calls for moratoriums and ceasefires have been coming through various channels recently, but the Russian side has not received any official proposals.

Reuters also notes that after the news was published, September wheat futures on Euronext went down after a sharp increase earlier in the day.

Earlier, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said that Ankara had called on Ukraine and Russia to agree on a moratorium on attacks in the Black Sea.
