The passage of ships to Ukrainian ports through Sulina will again be coordinated by the USPA

From now on, vessels heading to Ukrainian ports on the Danube will be allowed through the Sulina Canal in accordance with the order formed by the USPA.

This was reported by Avalon Shipping Operations Manager Kateryna Kononenko.

The decision was made after the USPA reported that ten vessels passed through Ukrainian ports on August 7-11 without being included in the priority list.

The distribution of available pilots according to quotas also continues: 40% for vessels to Ukrainian ports, 40% to Romanian ports, and 20% to Giurgiuleşti in Moldova.

For vessels heading to Romania and Moldova, the order will be determined by the time of arrival and submission of documents.

This procedure is stipulated by the agreement of May 26, 2022, the implementation of which the Sulina administration will now check daily.

It was previously reported that the queue of ships at the Sulina roadstead is gradually decreasing, but part of the fleet has still been waiting to enter the canal since last week.
