Tusk: Poland expects Russian attacks on border crossings with Ukraine

Poland expects that Russia may attack checkpoints on the border with Ukraine as part of strikes on trade and logistics routes.
This was stated by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, according to Reuters.
According to him, on the night of September 10, thanks to the cooperation of Polish services with Ukrainian ones, an immediate threat to one of the checkpoints was averted. The Polish prime minister did not disclose details of the incident.
“We expect similar actions directed against border crossings with Ukraine in other countries, in particular in Poland,” Tusk said.
His statement came after Russian drones attacked a checkpoint between Ukraine and Moldova in the Odesa region. Two people were killed as a result of the strike.
Tusk noted that Russia had already resorted to attacks on border infrastructure and that NATO’s eastern flank countries should be prepared for further provocations.
The Polish Prime Minister also reported that he had received a “fairly accurate report” from the CIA regarding possible events in the coming months.
According to him, Poland and Europe should be prepared for different scenarios not only on the Russian-Ukrainian front, but also along the eastern border of the EU.
Earlier, USM reported that Poland would not lift the ban on the import of Ukrainian agricultural products.
