Ukraine and Great Britain are implementing a maritime partnership project
Ukraine and Great Britain are moving on to the practical stage of the implementation of the Memorandum on the realizatin of maritime partnership projects.
Note that the Memorandum was signed by the representatives of the countries on June 21st in Odesa.
The document provides for the joint design and construction of warships in Ukraine and Great Britain, as well as the construction of the infrastructure of the Ukrainian Navy for a total of £1.7 billion.
The implementation of the projects will begin after the conclusion of the Framework Agreement between the governments of the two states for 8 years.
“The reached agreements are another step in the development of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and the United Kingdom to develop the capabilities of the Ukrainian fleet in the Black and Azov Seas,” commented the British Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Ukraine Melinda Simmons.
