Agricultural exports from Ukraine to China amounted to $1.25 billion in 10 months
In the first 10 months of this year, agricultural exports from Ukraine to China amounted to $1.25 billion, while imports of agricultural goods from China to Ukraine amounted to over $220 million.
This was stated by the Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine Vitalii Koval during a meeting with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Ukraine Ma Shenkun.
The parties discussed possible new areas of cooperation in the field of agriculture between our countries. In particular, the joint opening of new markets for export, as well as the construction of agricultural processing enterprises with the transfer of Chinese technologies.
Vitaly Koval noted that Ukraine sees potential in mutual trade with China. The Minister also noted that another point of contact is educational projects in the agricultural sphere.
“We have something to share and we are ready to adopt their experience. Agricultural education is a long-term bridge for cooperation between our countries,” the head of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy emphasized.
We previously reported that trade turnover between Ukraine and South Korea in the agricultural sector is only $200 million per year.
