Electrification of the second railway platform to the port of Pivdennyi is completed
Today the construction of the second railway platform on the Chornomorsk – Beregovo section has been completed.
The fact that the movement on the new rails (6.5 km) will open on November 4th, was previously announced by the Minister of Infrastructure Olexandr Kubrakov during a working visit to Odesa at the end of October.

On the Chornomorsk-Beregovo section, transportation is carried out for 3 of the 5 largest stevedoring companies in the country: SE CSP Yuzhny, Transinvestservice LLC and Odesa Port Plant JSC, as USM previously wrote about.
“To increase cargo flows in Ukrainian ports, it is necessary to develop the port railway infrastructure. Among the priority projects this year is the section Chornomorsk-Beregovo. This week began electrifying the second main track. We plan to complete the work on 6.5 km by the end of the year,” said Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine, Oleksandr Kubrakov, in July.
It should be noted that the throughput at this section was increased 6 years ago. After the current update, the estimated capacity of the Chornomorsk-Beregovo section will be 55 train pairs per day.
