For the first time, the Russian Federation launched a beehive Kalibr over Ukraine

During the massive attack on August 26, 2024, the Russian invaders used the sea-based Kalibr cluster for the first time.

For the first time, the invaders used a sea-based Kalibr cruise missile with cluster ammunition. This was stated by Volodymyr Tymoshko, head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region, Ukrinform writes.

The remains of the projectile were found in Kharkiv region. The Russians fired a missile during a massive attack on Ukraine on August 26. The situation in the region remains difficult.

“During yesterday’s massive strike, for the first time we recorded the use of Kalibr, a sea-based missile, with a cluster warhead. It was used to strike a civilian industrial facility,” Tymoshko said.

The law enforcement officer noted that before this, the occupiers used cluster “Iskanders” and S-300 — in particular, in 2024 as well.

We will remind, on August 26, the aggressor country launched 127 missiles and 109 drones over Ukraine. Defense forces of Ukraine shot down 102 missiles and 99 Russian drones. As a result of the hits, 7 people died, 47 more were injured.
