Metinvest’s revenue has increased significantly after the opening of the sea corridor, — Ryzhenkov

In 2024, Metinvest increased the export and sale of iron ore raw materials.
This was stated by the CEO of the Group Yurii Ryzhenkov in an interview with Forbes.
According to him, the main factor that ensured the growth of results in 2024 was the opening of the sea corridor from the Odesa ports.
“This created additional logistical opportunities for us. Total exports and sales of iron ore raw materials increased significantly – to over 12 million tons by the end of 2024.
Revenue outside Ukraine for the first half of 2024 increased by 25% compared to the same period in 2023,” said the CEO of Metinvest.
Yuriy Ryzhenkov emphasized that last year the production also increased: iron ore – by 42%, pig iron – by 3%, steel – by 4%.
It will be recalled, that Metinvest’s products were the first non-grain cargo in the maritime corridor.
