More than 60 foreign vessels are blocked in the ports of the Kherson region

The Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine told about the current situation in the Black Sea, as well as the need to unblock the ports of Mykolaiv and Kherson.

“It is still too early to say about the victory of the Defense Forces of Ukraine in the Black Sea, the danger remains high, the work of a number of ports is blocked,” noted the spokesman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Dmytro Pletenchuk.

According to him, Russian aviation still dominates the Black Sea.

“Accordingly, now this is actually a gray area, we are talking about more than 25,000 square meters. km of the Black Sea. Victory at sea is the absence of danger. As long as the ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation are in the Black Sea, even if they are hiding at their base, the danger is still very high,” the spokesman emphasized.

He also added that for victory in the Black Sea, it is necessary to open the occupied ports or those located in the affected area.

“These are the ports of the Mykolayiv region and the Kherson region, where 60 foreign ships have been blocked since the beginning of the full-scale war. This is the de-occupation of Crimean ports, ports on Azov – then we will be able to talk about victory,” Dmytro Pletenchuk emphasized.

In particular, the Black Sea remains a danger from four Russian submarine missile carriers.

As previously reported by USM, more than 100 vessels are blocked in Mykolaiv, 30 of which are sea-class, and the other 70 are mixed or river vessels.
