Odesa exporters are promised support from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry
Today the President of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Gennady Chizhikov, and the Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration, Serhii Grinevetskiy, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
The agreement provides for cooperation in foreign trade and in attracting foreign investment to the region’s economy. In particular, we are talking about the joint promotion of the investment and export potential of the region at the international level. The parties also plan to expand the markets for the products of regional manufacturers.
The special advantages of the location of the Odesa region, which is actually the logistics center of Ukraine, noted Gennady Chizhikov. According to him, seven ports, international transport corridors, the seaside railway, industrial infrastructure, developed agriculture and tourism make the region interesting for business.
“To promote the export of the Odesa region in foreign markets, we agreed to organize a presentation of the region’s economic opportunities for our international partners and diplomats. A number of systemic business events are envisaged to support Odesa producers,” said the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Note that last year the Odesa region exported goods for $1.4 million, mainly oil, grain, food and equipment. Key export destinations are Turkey, China, Egypt, India.
