Russian ships want to take control of the shipping route between the Bosphorus and Odesa

The Black Sea Fleet of Russia is preparing for the blockade of Ukrainian ports. Thus, the Russian Federation is starting to transfer ships to the shipping route between the Bosphorus and Odesa.

The invaders changed the disposition of the Black Sea Fleet after Russia withdrew from the Grain Agreement. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain.

According to British intelligence, the Russians sent the modern corvette “Sergei Kotov” to the southern part of the Black Sea. The ship patrols the shipping route between Odesa and the Bosphorus.

“There is a risk that the corvette will be part of a task force to intercept commercial vessels that, according to Russia, are headed for Ukraine,” the report says.

Earlier, the Russians reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine allegedly unsuccessfully attacked the corvette “Sergei Kotov”. The Navy of Ukraine did not comment on this statement.

The day before, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Great Britain warned about Russia’s intentions to fire at civilian ships in order to destroy Ukrainian exports.
