Russian warships were spotted near Portugal

The Portuguese Navy spotted two Russian warships during regular coastal monitoring.

The Russian tugboat “Sergei Balk” and the submarine “Krasnodar” were spotted near Portugal. The ships passed through the economic zone of Portugal in the morning of October 15, writes the Polish publication Gospodarka Morska.

During the crossing of the areas under the supervision of the Maritime Operations Center of the Portuguese Navy, the Russian ships were “escorted” by the NRP Sines (P362) patrol ship of the Viana do Castelo type, which is one of the most modern ships in service with the Portuguese Navy.
