The “Bessarabska” branch of “Nibulon” transported more than 3 million tons of grain
The “Bessarabska” branch of the Nibulon agricultural holding in Izmail has handled almost 3.1 million tons of grain since its opening.
As of mid-April, the “Bessarabska” branch handled almost 3.1 million tons of grain cargo during its existence. This was announced by the head of the Nibulon branch, Zakhar Medvedev, in an interview with Yug.Today.
After the restoration of the Ukrainian sea corridor, most of the cargo was redirected to the ports of Great Odesa. However, thanks to stable and predictable work on the Danube, the volume of transshipment of the “Bessarabska” branch has hardly changed, Medvedev claims.
Now the company “Nibulon” has focused on finding optimal methods of grain transportation. Thus, if by January 2024 grain delivery by road transport was approximately 70%, and by railway 30%, then from the beginning of the year the proportion is already 50%.
As USM wrote last year, about 70% of the Nibulon company’s exports was performed on the Bessarabska branch.
