A Syrian ship carrying stolen Ukrainian grain arrived in Crimea from Romania.

On September 4, Finikia entered the Romanian port of Midia. There, the vessel underwent dock maintenance, paperwork and inspection, the “Myrotvorets” portal reports.

Then the bulk carrier moved to the port of Kavkaz without cargo operations, after which it turned off AIS and arrived in Sevastopol on October 9. The ship was moored to the dock in Dock Bay to load grain.

Earlier, a ship with 17 thousand tons of wheat made a voyage to Latakia (Syria), the grain was loaded on it in June in occupied Sevastopol.

Reference: Finikia (IMO: 9385233) is a Syrian-flagged bulk carrier built in 2009. Deadweight — 18,908 tons. The shipowner is the state company Syriamar.

It is on the Syrian sanctions list of OFAC (Office of Foreign Assets Control, USA).

When the bulk carrier Finikia entered the Romanian port in early September, Myrotvorets noted that the US administration could apply sanctions restrictions under the Caesar Act. But, as we can see, Romania helped to certify the ship, and no one subjected it to sanctions.

In 2019, the USA passed the Caesar Act, which gives the right to introduce restrictive measures against organizations and individuals that provide direct or indirect assistance to the Assad regime.
