Turkey is trying to revive the trilateral Grain Agreement
Turkey believes that it is possible to restore the Black Sea Grain Initiative.
“We believe that the grain initiative can be revived. Our specialized departments keep in touch with their colleagues. As you know, this initiative became a reality thanks to the cooperation of Turkey with the UN, Ukraine and Russia. Thus, our contacts with all these players continue,” said Ambassador Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Ukraine Yagmur Ahmet Güldere in an interview with Ukrinform.
According to him, Turkey is currently in contact with other parties that can also play a role in reviving the Grain Agreement.
The diplomat noted that we are now at the stage where some consider this corridor to have “revived”.
“But we believe that this is not the case, and we continue our diplomatic efforts to restore it,” the ambassador concluded.
