Ukraine and Poland agreed on the restoration of transit of Ukrainian agricultural products. It will be operational from April 21, 2023.
Additional control measures will be applied to transit, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reported. Market participants will be notified of the new measures publicly and in working order in the near future.
In her turn, First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy Yuliya Svyridenko reported that the government delegation left for Poland for negotiations as soon as it became known about the decision of the Polish government
“We understand the situation of Polish farmers and the Polish side understands the situation of Ukrainian farmers suffering from the war. Ultimately, the root cause of this situation is precisely Russian aggression. And we will do everything so that Russia does not take advantage of the situation,” said Svyridenko.
As Svyridenko summarized, as a result of our two-day negotiations, the transit of Ukrainian goods through Poland will be unblocked from Thursday to Friday.
USM previously reported that on Saturday, April 15, the Polish government banned the import of grain and other food from Ukraine.
