Ukraine exported the second sunflower hand-size in the 2024/25 MY
Ukraine exported 19 thousand tons of sunflower seeds to France in January 2025.
The exact date of this export is unknown, writes ASAP Agri.
This was the second handy-size cargo of this season. The first cargo, with a volume of 16 thousand tons, was delivered to the Spanish Mediterranean in October 2024.
“It is worth noting that since the moment of trade with the Spanish Mediterranean in early September 2024, prices for Ukrainian sunflower seeds on the domestic market have increased by approximately $70/t,” said Khrystyna Serebryakova, CEO of ASAP Agri and broker of Atria Brokers.
As previously reported by USM, as of January 21, exports of grains and legumes from Ukraine in the 2024/25 MY amounted to 24.2 million tons, which is 8.7% more than last year.
