Ukraine plans to export another 40 million tons of grain by the end of the season

Ukraine plans to export another 36-40 million tons of agricultural products by the end of FY 2023/24. In particular, through the sea corridor.

This was said by the Deputy Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council, Denis Marchuk, during a briefing at Media Center Ukraine.

According to him, since the beginning of January, more than 2 million tons of grain have been exported through the sea corridor in the Black Sea.

“Currently, more than 36 vessels are waiting for loading. In particular, for the unloading of agricultural products. From the point of view of security, which is guaranteed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, we manage to attract international companies in order to access the port infrastructure of Ukraine in Odesa ports and, accordingly, increase the export potential of grain and oilseeds,” said Denys Marchuk.

He noted that in the next six months (we are talking about MR 2023/24), Ukraine should export 36-40 million tons of agricultural products.

“In total, the export potential for this season reaches more than 60 million tons. About 50 million are grain crops, and about 10 million are oil crops,” the deputy head of the VAR emphasized.
